Installing eSIM on iOS
QR Code eSIM Installation on iOS devices
Before you begin installation, ensure your device is compatible and you have existing stable connection (preferably WiFi). Avoid using airport WiFi as they may block eSIM installations.
One-click eSIM Installation on iOS devices (for iOS 17.4 and newer only)
- Use your iOS device to open the link and initiate installation.
- Allow setup and follow set up instructions.
- Custom label your eSIM (Name to Identify this eSIM).
- Set Home/Default line as “Primary” to receive call/messages.
- Set Mobile Data as newly installed “eSIM”.
- Update Access Point Names(APN), (if required).
- Installation is complete!
- Upon landing > Mobile Data > Turn on your eSIM > Turn on Data Roaming
- Mobile Data > In Mobile Data > Select eSIM to use eSIM for Data.
eSIM QR Installation on iOS devices
- Go to “Settings” > “Add Data Plan”.
- Tap “Add Data Plan” > “Install eSIM”.
- Scan QR code or Tap “Enter Details Manually”.
- Custom label your eSIM(Name to Identify this eSIM).
- Set Home/Default line as “Primary” to receive call/messages.
- Set Mobile Data as newly installed “eSIM”.
- Update Access Point Names(APN), (if required).
- Installation is complete!
- Upon landing > Mobile Data > Turn on your eSIM > Turn on Data Roaming
- Mobile Data > In Mobile Data > Select eSIM to use eSIM for Data.
Manual eSIM Installation on iOS devices
- Go to “Settings” > “Cellular/Mobile”.
- Add “Cellular/Mobile Plan”.
- Select “Enter Details Manually”. Enter details provided in “Installation Email”:
- SM-DP+ Address
- Activation Code
- Turn on and Set Mobile Data as newly installed “eSIM”.
- Update Access Point Names(APN), (if required).
- Installation is complete!
- Upon landing > Mobile Data > Turn on your eSIM > Turn on Data Roaming
- Mobile Data > In Mobile Data > Select eSIM to use eSIM for Data.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- Ensure “Data Roaming” for your Main Line is disabled to prevent accidental charges from your carrier.
- Do NOT DELETE/REMOVE your eSIM from your device after successful installation as each eSIM can only be installed once. In case accidental deletion of your eSIM after installation, contact us via chat or email to hello@frewie.com.
- Data validity starts immediately upon installation of eSIM.
